Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and technically proficient Technical Operations Manager to lead post-deployment operations across a large-scale, multi-site technology program. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, performance, and visibility of complex network infrastructure supporting high-profile, time-sensitive operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Cisco routing/switching, MPLS, and enterprise network operations, as well as experience supporting optical networks for both broadcast and data networking traffic. Strong leadership and executive communication skills are essential for engaging with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all site-based technical operations once infrastructure is deployed and live.
  • Oversee a team of engineers and technical staff across multiple locations, ensuring 24/7 operational readiness.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for critical incidents and ensure rapid resolution in alignment with service level expectations.
  • Interface with executive stakeholders and partners to provide operational updates, risk assessments, and performance reporting.
  • Own the incident management lifecycle, including root cause analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with network segmentation, broadcast readiness, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Coordinate with deployment teams to ensure smooth handoff from build to operations.
  • Utilize and manage enterprise-grade tools (e.g., ServiceNow, ThousandEyes, Cisco Catalyst Center) for observability, ticketing, and performance assurance.
  • Support test events and rehearsals leading up to go-live, ensuring operational readiness and resilience.
  • Provide operational oversight for optical transport networks supporting both broadcast and IP networking traffic across all venues.
  • Support operational readiness planning activities, including the development and maintenance of operational runbooks.
  • Coordinate and lead technical rehearsals and readiness exercises to validate operational procedures and team preparedness.
  • Provide incident support and contribute to the continuous improvement of incident response processes.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and experience facilitating technical training sessions.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in technical operations, network engineering, or infrastructure management.

Proven leadership experience managing large-scale technical teams in high-pressure environments.

Deep technical experience in:

- Cisco routing and switching (CCNP/CCIE preferred)

- MPLS, SD-WAN, and WAN optimization

- Optical transport networks (DWDM, CWDM) for broadcast and data networking

- Network observability and incident response

Experience with enterprise ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and network monitoring tools (e.g., Catalyst Center, LogicMonitor, etc)

Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.

Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles and travel between LA-regional locations as needed.

Experience supporting large-scale, high-visibility programs or events is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with or for large scale sporting events.

Familiarity with large-scale network deployments and operational handovers.

Background in telecom service delivery or managed services.
