The Job:We are seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager (TPM) . This role will be responsible for driving cross-functional programs focused on telemetry health, device monitoring, and operational excellence across a global datacenter fleet.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in technical program management preferably in datacenter critical environments, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder engagement, with a passion for improving service health and operational efficiency.A typical Day to Day may look like
- Lead the development and implementation of dashboards and monitoring tools to assess infrastructure and telemetry health across global facilities.
- Manage programs that detect and alert on anomalies in utility data (e.g., discrepancies between reported and actual energy/water usage).
- Drive improvements in device onboarding processes, ensuring new infrastructure components are properly integrated into monitoring systems.
- Oversee incident management workflows, including triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and partner teams to define and refine alerting logic for device outages, performance degradation, and data quality issues.
- Maintain and evolve the team's operational framework, including backlog management, sprint planning, and process documentation.
- Develop and maintain internal documentation, including team playbooks, workflows, and engagement models for cross-functional collaboration.
- Facilitate stakeholder communications, workshops, and program reviews to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Identify gaps in monitoring coverage and lead continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback.
Top 3 Must-Have Hard SkillsInfrastructure Monitoring & Telemetry Systems (5+ years)Proven experience managing or implementing large-scale monitoring solutions for infrastructure or datacenter environments. This includes familiarity with telemetry pipelines, health dashboards, and alerting frameworks.Technical Program Management in Cross-Functional Environments (7+ years)Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder programs from planning through execution. This includes backlog management, sprint planning, risk mitigation, and delivery tracking using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.Data Analysis & Incident Management (5+ years)Strong analytical skills to interpret telemetry data, identify anomalies, and drive improvements in incident detection and response. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and incident management workflows is essential.Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should have an A4 portfolio of the projects that are cross functional that they've actually managed in the data center space prepared prior to the assessment.
