Endpoint Systems Engineer

Description

We are looking for an Endpoint Systems Engineer to play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency and supporting endpoint systems across the organization. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. This is a long-term contract position based in Ankeny, Iowa.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test automation processes for endpoint systems to ensure scalability and adaptability to organizational growth.
Create, test, and deploy Microsoft PowerShell and batch scripts to install and update proprietary and third-party software.
Implement and maintain processes to ensure software and settings are applied during endpoint replacements or initial installations.
Develop redundancy strategies to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
Collaborate in the design and implementation of operational and information support systems.
Evaluate and qualify software used at store locations, including modifications to third-party vendor applications.
Create scripts, programs, and tools to optimize system efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.
Monitor and analyze endpoint system performance to identify and address issues proactively.

Requirements

Proficient in scripting languages, including PowerShell and batch scripting, with demonstrated experience in automation.
Strong analytical skills to assess systems and develop effective solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and efficient interaction across teams.
Proven ability to build relationships based on trust and transparency.
Experience with system administration and analysis in complex environments.
Familiarity with software deployment tools such as Intune.
Knowledge of system efficiency strategies and redundancy planning.
