You will work directly within our AI governance delivery framework, with a primary focus on third-party and vendor AI risk assessments, while also supporting gate reviews, policy development, inventory management, and executive reporting. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a high-potential professional ready to build expertise at the intersection of healthcare operations and AI governance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required in Information Systems, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Business, Computer Science, or a related field

Coursework or demonstrated knowledge in AI, data governance, risk management, compliance, or healthcare policy is a plus

Experience

Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in a relevant role (governance, risk, compliance, data analysis, healthcare operations, or similar)

Experience supporting or participating in risk assessments, audits, or compliance reviews preferred

Exposure to healthcare environments, regulated industries, or technology governance frameworks preferred but not required

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Technical Skills

Ability to read, interpret, and summarize technical documentation, vendor assessments, and AI system specifications

Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams)

Comfort working with data: tracking spreadsheets, dashboards, metrics compilations, and status reporting

Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts, including model types, training data, outputs, and risk vectors

Familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, 21st Century Cures Act, ONC regulations) preferred

Governance & Risk Skills

Understanding of risk assessment frameworks (NIST AI RMF, CHAI, ISO, or similar)

Ability to document policies, procedures, and control requirements clearly and concisely

Experience or coursework in compliance, audit support, or risk management processes

Ability to track issues, escalate appropriately, and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

Behavioral Competencies

Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity

Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to translate complex risk concepts for non-technical audiences

Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage competing priorities under pressure

Strong stakeholder orientation with comfort navigating cross-functional teams

Collaborative working style with high integrity and sound judgment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Vendor & Third-Party AI Risk Assessments (Primary Focus)

Serve as a primary analyst for third-party AI vendor risk reviews - evaluating AI tools, platforms, and services before and after deployment

Conduct structured assessments covering data use, model transparency, HIPAA/PHI exposure, bias risk, security posture, and contractual safeguards

Review vendor contracts, data use agreements, Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), and security documentation for AI-specific risk language

Develop and maintain vendor risk profiles, scoring summaries, and findings documentation for each assessed AI product

Track vendor assessment status, open findings, remediation commitments, and reassessment timelines

Escalate high-risk vendor findings to the Sr. Technical Product Manager and relevant compliance, legal, and security stakeholders

Stay current on emerging vendor AI practices, regulatory expectations for third-party AI in healthcare, and evolving risk patterns

ODT Gate Reviews & AI Engagement Model

Support structured risk reviews of AI initiatives at defined governance gates (intake, design, pre-deployment, post-deployment)

Maintain documentation packages for each gate review including risk scores, findings, and disposition decisions

Coordinate scheduling, stakeholder participation, and follow-up actions for governance review meetings

AI Inventory Tracking & Lifecycle Monitoring

Maintain and update the enterprise AI inventory, ensuring accurate records of AI tools, use cases, risk classifications, and deployment status

Monitor deployed AI systems for changes in scope, vendor updates, or performance signals that may trigger re-review

Support lifecycle governance reviews at defined intervals post-deployment

Policy & Standards Documentation

Draft, revise, and maintain AI governance policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and our Client's risk tolerance

Research emerging AI regulations, frameworks, and industry guidance relevant to healthcare (NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act applicability, CMS guidance, etc.)

Support the development and maintenance of AI governance playbooks and reference materials for operational teams

Metrics, Reporting & Dashboard Management

Compile and maintain AI Trust & Safety metrics across governance workstreams for executive and committee reporting

Support the development and ongoing refresh of governance dashboards and status trackers

Prepare briefing materials, summaries, and reports for AI governance committee meetings and leadership updates

Incident Response & Issue Tracking

Assist in logging, tracking, and documenting AI-related incidents, near-misses, and governance findings

Coordinate issue resolution workflows, ensuring findings are assigned, tracked to closure, and documented for audit readiness

Support post-incident reviews and contribute to lessons-learned documentation
