About the Role

Role: Senior Integration Developer API Connect
Location: Onsite in Lansing, MI
Pay rate: $55-$60/Hour



  • We are seeking a skilled API Developer to join our team. This role involves designing and developing APIs using API Connect or similar API management tools.

  • The successful candidate will support the full API lifecycle, collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate integration requirements, and implement API security best practices.

  • Additionally, you will contribute to integration design, support migration efforts from legacy/on-prem systems to cloud environments, and troubleshoot and resolve API and integration-related issues.


Responsibilities



  • Design and develop APIs using API Connect/ APIC

  • Support the full API lifecycle, including design, development, deployment, and support.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate integration requirements.

  • Implement API security best practices such as OAuth and JWT.

  • Contribute to integration design and overall solution delivery.

  • Support migration efforts from legacy/on-prem systems to cloud environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve API and integration-related issues.


Education Qualification



  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.


Required Skills



  • Experience with API Connect development and integration or similar tools.

  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and integration patterns.

  • Experience with API security protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and TLS.

  • Ability to work with stakeholders and contribute to solution design. - Experience supporting or leading integration projects.


Preferred Skills



  • Hands-on experience with API Connect.

  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud environments.

  • Experience with container platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift. - Familiarity with API gateways such as DataPower or similar tools. - Experience with CI/CD or DevOps practices.

  • Background in large enterprise integration environments.
