Job#: 3039362 Job Description: Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Sr. Privacy Project Manager with an enterprise automotive client. This role will support large-scale data platform and advanced analytics initiatives, focusing on privacy compliance, governance, and secure data handling across global systems. The project involves driving data privacy strategy and execution while partnering with cross-functional teams to support ongoing digital transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, execute, and oversee complex technology and data platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with project scope, timelines, resources, and budget
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures to support successful delivery across the project lifecycle
- Manage and track milestone timelines to ensure alignment with approved scope, business objectives, and IT priorities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams-including Legal, Information Security, and Data Governance-to drive collaboration and ensure efficient execution of deliverables
- Lead data privacy initiatives with a focus on compliance, regulatory alignment, and integration into project delivery processes
- Conduct and support privacy impact assessments, security checkpoints, and compliance reviews
- Oversee the implementation of privacy controls such as data masking, access restrictions, data minimization, retention workflows, and audit traceability
- Ensure appropriate handling and governance of PII, sensitive information, and regulated datasets across systems and platforms
- Communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership while ensuring adherence to governance standards and quality expectations
- Support broader data, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives through strong project leadership and delivery execution
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:- 5+ years of experience in IT project management with a focus on data, analytics, or platform initiatives
- 5+ years of experience leading privacy-focused projects including regulatory compliance, data governance, and security controls
- Proven experience delivering complex data platform or advanced analytics projects in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations and frameworks (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) and implementation of privacy controls such as masking, access restrictions, and retention policies
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including Legal, Information Security, and Data Governance stakeholders
- Hands-on experience managing project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables across the full project lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience managing Consumer Privacy Requests (e.g., DSAR) processes and fulfillment workflows
- Familiarity with leading privacy SaaS tools and platforms used for request management and compliance tracking
- Proven track record of delivering privacy-related initiatives through full implementation in large organizations
- Experience supporting enterprise data platforms or cloud-based analytics environments
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, CIPP, CIPM, or similar are a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills within highly regulated environments

Pay range: $45-$70.5/hour
