Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Manistee that are seeking skilled NPI Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Drive new product introduction (NPI) processes from concept to mass production.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new products.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related issues.
• Manage pilot builds and production ramp-up activities, ensuring smooth transitions.
• Define and implement quality control plans and procedures for new products.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for NPI processes, work instructions, and specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design review and manufacturability analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, welding) and their impact on product design.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill) for managing engineering data and BOMs.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, VBA).
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
