The OpportunityWe are partnering with organizations in Manistee that are seeking Process Engineers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations and quality issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new products and processes into production.
- Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and utilize statistical process control (SPC) to ensure process stability and capability.
- Evaluate and select new equipment, technologies, and materials to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Green Belt certification).
- Proficient in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
- Strong understanding of process control systems (e.g., DCS, PLC) and instrumentation.
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements that lead to increased efficiency, cost savings, or quality enhancements.
Bonus Qualifications- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic)
- Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CSM)
