The OpportunityWe are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Ludington that are seeking skilled Process Engineers. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations and quality issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality, to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and materials to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Lead process validation activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with process optimization, statistical process control (SPC), and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., MiniTab, JMP).
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, and other engineering documentation.
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., ASPEN, HYSYS) is a plus.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and simulation software (e.g., Minitab, Arena, Python, R).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with automation technologies and Industry 4.0 concepts.
