Role Overview
We are seeking a Test Engineer to join a Product Software QA Team. This role focuses on manual and automation testing for mission-critical web applications. The ideal candidate will be central to manual release validation and vehicle mission testing, and will contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test cases. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and expand Playwright automation test cases to enhance regression coverage and test efficiency.
- Perform manual testing for feature releases, hotfixes, and pre-merge validations.
- Conduct vehicle mission testing and provide detailed reporting and analysis on mission outcomes.
- Utilize AI tools for process and test improvements.
- Support triage and assist in identifying, reproducing, and verifying defects across development, staging, and production environments.
- Collaborate with developers, QA leads, and product managers to ensure test completeness and feature validation readiness.
- Provide QA sign-off for release readiness and ensure all validation activities meet defined quality standards.
- Document test results, maintain traceability to requirements, and track issues to closure.
- Contribute to ongoing process and automation improvements within the QA organization.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field is required.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a QA Engineer with proven skills in testing large-scale, complex applications is necessary.
Technical Skills: Strong working experience in testing tools like JIRA and TestRail is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- TypeScript or JavaScript experience is a bonus.
- Playwright automation experience is preferred.
