The Team

As Senior Workday Analyst, you'll drive the optimization and evolution of Workday across a global, multi-module enterprise system serving thousands of A&M employees and contractors worldwide. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic influence-you'll lead the design and deployment of new functionality, mentor junior analysts, champion best practices, and partner across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and Recruiting to shape how the organization manages talent, compensation, and time.

What makes this role distinct: Unlike many organizations, A&M invests in cross-functional Workday expertise. You'll have deep exposure across HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking and Absence-each offering a different lens on how enterprise HR systems drive business value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Advisory

Collaborate with HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams on enhancements, integration requests, and process improvements

Synthesize input from multiple stakeholders; recommend solutions that optimize system usability and business outcomes

Educate business partners on Workday capabilities and limitations; advise on process design best practices

Continuous Learning & System Mastery

Lead bi-annual Workday workstream release planning: review release notes, assess new functionality, make deployment recommendations

Conduct regression and new functionality testing; educate end users on upcoming changes

Maintain expertise in Workday tools and frameworks (reporting, calculated fields, integrations, security)

Participate actively in Workday Community forums, webinars, and training to stay current on industry trends and best practices

Visibility & Communication

Provide clear, regular status updates on in-progress projects and deliverables

Escalate risks and dependencies proactively; manage competing priorities with a focus on business impact

Qualifications

Expert-level Workday knowledge across HCM and at least one additional module (Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, or Benefits preferred)

Proficiency with Workday Reporting (standard and advanced), Dashboards and Calculated Fields

Strong working knowledge of Workday security roles, access controls, and data governance

Advanced Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, complex formulas)
