Role Overview
An opportunity is available for a technical writer to create and publish technical documentation for a manufacturing line, including work instructions, equipment SOPs, and preventative maintenance plans. The role involves creating, testing, and maintaining structured content templates and deployment materials. The position requires effective engagement with customers and internal partners to understand needs and identify gaps in content plans or existing documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain work instructions for all product lines, including conducting periodic audits or reviews.
- Develop and maintain platforms to house training, reference, and troubleshooting content for project teams.
- Support the deployment engineering change management process.
- Contribute to the development of content management and project management strategy and tools by gathering customer input and designing content templates.
- Evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of technical content using engagement metrics and data.
- Proactively identify and address process improvements, documentation design improvements, and roadblocks to content development.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate demonstrates technical writing experience and process development. The candidate should possess the ability to think strategically about mission, product, and technical needs, with the capacity to build and convey scalable propositions in a written context. The candidate will pursue opportunities to innovate content delivery to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $40.00 and $50.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and experience.
