Job Description

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Teradata architecture, infrastructure engineering, automation, system administration, and modern DevOps practices while supporting mission-critical data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the technical vision and engineering strategy for Teradata platforms and related infrastructure
• Design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance Teradata solutions aligned with business objectives
• Establish and promote best practices in Teradata architecture, system design, engineering standards, and operational excellence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and success metrics
• Lead engineering initiatives involving performance tuning, platform optimization, automation, and modernization
• Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle from planning through implementation and support
• Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate innovative solutions into existing environments
• Ensure high availability, reliability, security, and scalability of Teradata systems
• Support infrastructure and networking configurations including Load Balancing, Bonding, and DNS
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and configuration management tools

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Teradata engineering and administration
• Strong expertise in Teradata system architecture, platform design, and engineering best practices
• Experience driving enterprise engineering initiatives and large-scale platform implementations
• Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices
• Strong knowledge of SLES/Linux operating systems, systems administration, hardware, and infrastructure management
• Experience with Teradata networking concepts including:
• Load Balancing
• Bonding
• DNS
• Proficiency in:
• Shell Scripting
• Python
• Java
• Ansible
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Understanding of microservices architecture and modern platform engineering concepts
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
