Description:

•          As a member of our Product Team, the Product Owner is integral to the team’s success.

•          You’ll focus on product delivery, backlog management, sprint planning and guiding the team’s work to deliver consumer value and business growth.

•          This role will drive a variety of tasks and outcomes including: requirements facilitation, developing acceptance criteria and user stories, leading testing efforts, backlog refinement and sizing, supporting development during scrum and providing analysis and problem solving expertise as new opportunities arise.

•          This role will partner closely with the Scrum Master and Engineering Leads.

Ideal Background:

•          Experience working in with the product model or in a product organization and Health care insurance background. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•          Manage the product delivery for the consumer-facing clinical product areas

•          Day-to-day collaboration and decision making with cross-functional agile teams – including architects, developers, scrum master, designers and business or subject matter representatives

•          Responsible for defining the requirements/user stories and acceptance criteria of a product feature

•          Performs testing validation of features against customer & business goals and acceptance criteria

•          Works closely with product leadership and business stakeholders to prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product

•          Works with engineering to align on feature sizing and delivery plans

•          Leads the release planning and sets expectations for delivery of new functionalities, creates presentations, release notes or demos of new functionality as needed

•          Supports operations and training leads in development of training materials, user guides, and FAQs for new product features and workflows.

•          Ensure that the scrum team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared stories to work on

•          Partner with Product Manager to assess value and develop business cases of a given product feature to ensure work is aligned with the product strategy and focuses on maximum value

•          Defines and analyzes metrics that measure and benchmark product success

•          Ensure the data flows and functional & technical specifications are created as needed

•          Promote Agile product management processes, stays abreast of new emerging technology capabilities and leverages knowledge in contributing to product solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

•          3+ years’ experience with the technology development lifecycle, including all aspects of agile development and execution

•          1+ year of business stakeholder interactions experience

•          Experience with translating a product vision into actionable work

•          Experience with agile methods and related tools (e.g. Rally, Azure DevOps etc.)

•          Experience with requirements facilitation and user story creation

•          Experience in managing multi-products and/or working with multiple technical areas

Preferred Qualifications:

•          Bachelor''s degree or equivalent work experience

•          Agile/Scrum Certified

•          Experience working in with the product model or in a product organization

•          Health care insurance background

•          Skilled at negotiating to compromise when stakeholders have competing interests

•          Self-starter with the ability to appropriately assess the need for independent decision-making verses leadership escalation

•          Ability to react to product adjustments and expectations promptly and efficiently

•          Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
