Develop, design, optimize high-volume data pipelines, queries, code, components, parameterized ingestion frameworks, modules, scripts, tables. Review scalability, data cleansing and transformation, structured and semi-structured data formats, analytic and operational data needs, object storage platforms, data ingestion, cost efficiency, data lakes, architecture, software engineering, compliance, security, reduced latency, errors, analytics requirements, schema validation, data anomalies, integrity checks, execution metrics, partitioning, version control, performance, root causes, data models, data masking and encryptions, audit trails, vulnerabilities, aggregations, pull requests. Perform troubleshooting and debugging, and document processes, workflows, and pipeline logic. Confer with DevOps and QA, automate workflows and jobs, conduct unit and integration testing. Analyze client/user needs, recommend modifications. Use ETL, PySpark, Kafka, SQL, Python, NetApp, Iceberg, Dremio, JSON, Parquet, Avro, Agile, CI/CD, AWS, RDBMS, Autosys, Hadoop, MapReduce, GitHub, GitFlow, Postman, Hive, S3, Oracle, DB2. 40 hrs/wk. Must have Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years experience in the proffered position or as a Developer, Software Engineer, Technology Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the specified fields plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the specified occupations. Must have 2 years of experience developing data pipelines, queries, code, scripts; reviewing tables, data ingestion, workflows; automating jobs; using PySpark, Kafka, SQL, Python, AWS, Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, S3, Oracle, DB2. Must be willing to travel/relocate to unanticipated locations throughout the US on short notice for extended periods of time. Telecommuting permitted. $184,996 to $185,000 /yr.
