Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Muskegon that are seeking skilled IT Systems Administrators. Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Manage and support virtualized infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V) for production systems.
• Oversee network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring plant connectivity.
• Implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical manufacturing data.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT systems and end-users in a production environment.
• Monitor system performance and security, applying patches and updates to ensure operational integrity.
• Document IT systems, configurations, and procedures for compliance and knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand IT needs and support operational technology (OT) systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with industrial control systems (ICS) or operational technology (OT) environments.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security measures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA or MES systems
• Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments
• Experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing context (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS)
