About the Role

This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that address complex business or mission requirements. The position requires strong experience in Unreal Engine development and advanced C++ programming to build high-performance, scalable applications. The engineer will work across the full software development lifecycle while ensuring compliance with established standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications using C++ and Unreal Engine
  • Translate business or mission requirements into logical and mathematical software solutions
  • Apply software development standards, processes, and tools throughout the SDLC
  • Develop and integrate features using Unreal Engine frameworks and game engine technologies
  • Analyze system requirements, capabilities, and constraints to determine optimal solutions
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operating instructions, and development artifacts
  • Collaborate with system users, engineers, and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
  • Ensure software quality, performance, and maintainability standards are met
  • Support ongoing enhancements and improvements to existing applications


Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of professional experience with Unreal Engine development
  • 4-6 years of advanced C++ programming experience
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience debugging, testing, and optimizing complex software systems
  • Knowledge of software design principles and development best practices


Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience working on game engines or simulation-based applications
  • Familiarity with hardware-software integration concepts
  • Exposure to performance optimization and memory management
  • Experience working in cross-functional development teams
