Overview
We are seeking a JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) Developer with strong technical expertise and a solid understanding of business processes to support ongoing global initiatives. This role will primarily focus on development within an E1 9.2 on-premise environment, with an emphasis on reporting enhancements, custom development, and international regulatory initiatives. Client is running Tools version 9.2.8.1.
This is a part-time contract (10-20 hours/week) expected to run through the end of 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications and reports
Modify and optimize existing reports, including:
- Enhancing functionality
- Improving performance
- Consolidating similar reports
Support development related to electronic invoicing requirements across multiple countries
Contribute to global banking integrations (e.g., Peru and other regions)
Develop and maintain:
Custom applications
Custom tables
Additional fields within existing tables
Build and maintain E1 Pages and dashboards
Collaborate with Business Analysts to interpret requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Occasionally take ownership of building custom solutions when requirements require development beyond standard capabilities
Provide support for ongoing enhancements across modules and countries using E1
Work primarily in the development environment, with deployments managed by a third-party provider
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is used globally across these modules:
Finance
Tax
Contract Service Billing
Procurement
Sales Orders
Inventory
Equipment
Transactional usage of E1 is in these countries:
Italy, Belgium, Peru, Chile, Taiwan, and China
Additional regions utilize E1 primarily for trial balance uploads, with potential expansion of capabilities (e.g., electronic invoicing requirements).
Reporting & Tools
Experience working with reporting and SQL-based tools (e.g., ShowCase Query or similar)
Ability to assess and modernize reporting approaches, with a goal of reducing reliance on legacy tools like ShowCase Query.
Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (version 9.2, Tools release 9.2.8.1)
Proven background in E1 development
Working knowledge of functional business processes, especially within Finance and Supply Chain modules
Experience with:
- Custom application development
- Table design and extensions
- Report writing and optimization
Familiarity with global compliance requirements (e.g., electronic invoicing) is a plus
Ability to balance technical development with business understanding
Work Environment & Communication:
Most communication occurs via email and chat, with occasional scheduled meetings
Collaborative environment with Business Analysts and global stakeholders
Emphasis on minimizing customizations where possible
