Role Overview
We are seeking an Application Programmer to design, build, and maintain horizontally scalable components for a major platform. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert on the deployed code, providing support to other developers and contributing to the core platform by writing reusable, extendable, and simplified code.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build horizontally scalable components for a large-scale platform.
- Review code and provide feedback on best practices, focusing on performance and stability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the platform's codebase and provide support to other developers.
- Write reusable and extendable code as a key contributor to the core platform.
- Continuously work to simplify and improve the software.
- Challenge peers to foster an environment of constant improvement.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related mathematical field is required.
Technical Skills:- Expertise in functional and object-oriented programming, with a focus on Python.
- Experience with various databases, including relational, document, and NoSQL types.
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Experience building distributed, scalable, complex services and robust microservices.
- Proficiency in writing unit tests using pytest or unittest.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and process automation.
- Familiarity with Linux and SQL.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $60.00 to $65.06 per hour. Please note that the final pay rate will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience and qualifications.
