RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Datacenter Senior IT SME (Phoenix Initiative) in New York, NY.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain enterprise data center environments across multiple regional locations. This opportunity offers a blend of hands-on infrastructure support and technical coordination across server, network, virtualization, and storage platforms. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience and excels in data center operations, networking, and cross-functional infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities:
* Install, relocate, configure, troubleshoot, and decommission servers, network devices, and other data center equipment
* Manage and support copper and fiber cabling, including installation, tracing, patching, labeling, and troubleshooting
* Support network infrastructure, including switching, routing, connectivity, TCP/IP, VLANs, and related technologies
* Provide technical guidance and oversight for server, virtualization, and storage environments, including reviewing changes, implementations, and troubleshooting efforts
* Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, deployments, maintenance activities, and operational initiatives across technology teams
* Identify technical risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring appropriate resolution and escalation when necessary
* Maintain accurate documentation for infrastructure assets, cabling, inventories, configurations, and operational procedures
* Adhere to established security, change management, and operational standards

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, data center operations, network operations, or a related technical discipline
* Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking, including switching, routing, TCP/IP, VLANs, and network troubleshooting
* Experience working with server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and enterprise storage technologies
* Solid understanding of data center architecture, infrastructure dependencies, resiliency, and operational best practices
* Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across infrastructure, security, facilities, and vendor teams
* Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, documentation, and communication skills
* Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with limited supervision
* Ability to review technical designs and implementation plans, assess risks, troubleshoot issues, and provide informed recommendations
* Ability to travel locally between supported facilities as needed
* Ability to safely lift and move infrastructure equipment in accordance with standard procedures

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in highly regulated enterprise environments
* Advanced expertise in networking or another core infrastructure discipline
* Relevant technical certifications are a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
