Job Overview: In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Systems Operations Engineering. You will review and analyze multifaceted, larger-scale, or longer-term Systems Operations Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented elements. Additionally, you will contribute to resolving complex situations requiring a solid understanding of function policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables. Strategic collaboration and consultation with client personnel will be a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities: - Provide technical systems support within a technology organization.
- Support complex technical issues and initiatives related to assigned applications, systems, databases, and other technical products and services.
- Use diagnostic tools to maintain, troubleshoot, and restore service or data to systems.
- Evaluate service level agreement criteria and identify gaps in current technology processes.
- Participate in migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations, and configurations.
- Write queries to extract data and validate data loads.
- Complete project sizing and update/write documentation and procedures.
- Assist with related training and troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues.
- Participate in writing test scripts and maintain change or issue logs.
- Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications: - 5 years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux, Tomcat, and other middleware.
- Excellent troubleshooting acumen.
- Understanding of quality, security, and compliance requirements for supported areas, including reviewing changes for risk to production systems.
- Experience participating in testing and updating business continuation plans.
- Preferred skills: Knowledge of ServiceNow, Splunk, Grafana, Excel, Power BI, Python.
- Soft skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
