Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Project Manager - Data Center Migration in Lehi, UT.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale data center exit and migration initiative. This role will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure and application migrations from on-premise environments to target environments such as cloud, colocation, or consolidated data centers.

This is a high-visibility role requiring strong organizational skills, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and dependencies within a complex technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
* Lead end-to-end execution of a data center exit and migration project
* Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
* Coordinate phased migration activities across applications, infrastructure, and data
* Create and maintain detailed project plans, runbooks, and cutover schedules

Cross-Functional Coordination:
* Partner with infrastructure, cloud, application, security, and networking teams
* Align stakeholders across engineering, operations, and business units
* Manage dependencies across multiple teams and concurrent workstreams
* Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers as needed

Execution & Delivery:
* Drive project readiness including discovery, dependency mapping, environment preparation, testing, and migration execution
* Track and manage risks, issues, and blockers, ensuring timely resolution
* Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during migration activities
* Monitor progress and ensure deliverables are met on time and within scope

Communication & Reporting:
* Provide regular status updates to leadership and key stakeholders
* Clearly communicate risks, timelines, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-8+ years of experience in Project Management within IT or infrastructure environments
* Proven experience managing data center migrations, cloud migrations, or infrastructure transformation projects
* Strong understanding of data center environments, including compute, storage, and networking
* Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
* Demonstrated ability to manage large, cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies
* Strong risk management, issue tracking, and delivery execution skills
* Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:
* PMP or equivalent certification
* Experience supporting data center exit, consolidation, or decommissioning efforts
* Familiarity with hybrid or multi-cloud environments
* Experience with migration tools, automation, or infrastructure-as-code concepts
* Exposure to security, compliance, or regulated environments

What Success Looks Like:
* Migration delivered on time with controlled risk and minimal impact to business operations
* Strong alignment across stakeholders and technical teams
* Successful decommissioning of legacy systems and stable transition to new environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
