Title: Financial Analyst
Terms of Employment:
W2 Contract, 12 Months (Possible Extension)
This position is onsite Monday to Thursday in Houston, TX (77060) with a schedule of 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. Fridays are remote.
Overview & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join a global leader in energy technology and manufacturing. This is a critical foundational role designed to support both the FP&A and Supply Chain Finance teams. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy during a period of team transition, gaining high-level exposure to corporate finance operations, ERP systems, and senior leadership.
You will
Perform account reconciliations and post journal entries accurately.
Support the FP&A team in budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
Assist Supply Chain Finance with cost analysis, inventory tracking, and KPI reporting.
Clean and organize large datasets in Excel to generate monthly and quarterly reporting packages.
Interact with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and sourcing to understand cost drivers.
Help automatize existing reports to improve team efficiency.
Prepare variance reports and support scenario modeling under the guidance of senior managers.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate finance or accounting role.
Advanced Excel skills, specifically proficiency with VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables (testing will be required during interview).
Strong understanding of Corporate Finance fundamentals (P&L, Balance Sheet, Revenue/Costs).
Proven ability to work independently and "think on your feet" in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with various business functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Visual CFin.
Familiarity with financial planning tools like Anaplan or Asteryx.
Basic knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and dashboard maintenance.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial supply chain environment.
