ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Project Manager - III* with a pharmaceutical company. This is a 8+ month contract opportunity with our client located in Foster City, CA. This is a hybrid position.Summary: The successful candidate will join the Research Strategy, Innovation & Portfolio Management group to manage the coordination and progression of scientific research projects. This role operates in a highly collaborative, cross-functional matrix environment, interacting with multiple stakeholders to drive research projects forward to clinical development. This position requires being onsite in the Foster City office at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities: - Responsible for starting up or managing the research-based development subteams
- May help manage teams that are preparing to present their molecule at governance meetings for clinical development
- Work effectively with cross-functional project teams to build and develop the team, diagnose team health and take action to address team issues
- Organize new cross-functional project teams, define objectives and scope, identify tasks and milestones, build project schedules, identify resource needs, track execution to schedule, and manage risks
- Successfully manage multiple cross-functional tasks simultaneousl
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree with 7+ years or MS degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a functional area scientist or project manager
- Experience should include participation in cross-functional project team activities
- Self-motivated, resourceful, with high technical competence and a process-oriented mindset
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams) and Zoom
Desired skills: - Direct experience or a strong foundation in the drug development process is preferred
Pay range: Up to $ 73.48 per Hour
