Role: Senior QAD Techno-Functional Consultant

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QAD Techno-Functional Consultant to provide application support, enhancement, development, and business process solutions in an ITAR-controlled manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and developing QAD solutions, supporting production operations, and ensuring successful delivery of projects and support initiatives across multiple QAD modules.
The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to resolve issues, implement improvements, and drive operational excellence within the QAD ERP landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Provide functional and technical expertise across QAD ERP modules and related applications.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues impacting business operations.
Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support activities.
Design, develop, and maintain customizations, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements using QAD EE and Progress OpenEdge.
Collaborate with business users to understand operational requirements and recommend effective QAD solutions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize business processes and system utilization.
Develop functional specifications, technical specifications, test plans, and support documentation.
Perform unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing activities.
Support production environments by monitoring issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure smooth transition of new implementations, enhancements, and upgrades into production support.
Track project progress, provide status reporting, maintain metrics, and communicate risks and mitigation plans.
Ensure adherence to company policies, security standards, change management procedures, and ITAR compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
10+ years of experience in QAD ERP functional and/or technical consulting.
Strong knowledge of QAD Enterprise Edition (EE) and QAD eB2 environments.
Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes and ERP concepts.
Experience working with production support, enhancement, implementation, or transformation projects.
Ability to perform business analysis and translate requirements into functional and technical solutions.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
