Overview

Seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer 4 to support the Sentinel Program. This role focuses on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), cybersecurity requirements development, requirements traceability, and systems engineering activities supporting missile defense and multi-level security environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply MBSE methodologies to develop, refine, and manage cybersecurity and systems requirements.
  • Utilize tools such as Cameo, DOORS, and Jira to manage requirements, traceability, and engineering artifacts.
  • Support system requirements decomposition, architecture development, design, integration, testing, verification, and validation activities.
  • Collaborate across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure cybersecurity requirements are incorporated throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Conduct cyber risk assessments, attack surface analysis, and cybersecurity engineering reviews.
  • Support cybersecurity assessment and authorization activities, including RMF-related documentation and compliance efforts.
  • Develop and maintain engineering processes, technical documentation, and cybersecurity artifacts.
  • Participate in Agile and DevSecOps development environments supporting mission-critical defense systems.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, Master's degree with 6+ years, PhD with 4+ years, or 14+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Ability to obtain IASAE II certification (CISSP preferred).
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience using Cameo, DOORS, Jira, or similar requirements management tools.
  • Experience with requirements decomposition, requirements traceability, architecture, design, integration, testing, verification, and validation.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and cybersecurity engineering concepts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBSE expertise using Cameo and SysML.
  • DOORS requirements management experience.
  • NIST SP 800-37 RMF authorization experience.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-160 System Security Engineering principles.
  • Experience supporting missile defense, aerospace, or weapons systems.
  • Agile and DevSecOps experience.
  • Experience authoring SSPs, Security Assessment Plans, Continuous Monitoring Plans, and related cybersecurity documents.
  • ISSEP, ISSAP, or other IASAE Level III certifications.
