Location: Chandler, Arizona (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This role is accountable for establishing and maintaining partnerships with Application Development and Production Support teams. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will lead SRE teams to implement prescribed measures, ensuring the appropriate instrumentation, tooling, ticketing, alerting, and on-call routines are in place for key services. This individual will demonstrate a high level of technical expertise, decompose issues into units of work for the team, and advocate for efficient solution delivery and engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain partnerships with Application Development and Production Support teams.
- Ensure appropriate instrumentation, tooling, alerting, and on-call routines are in place for key services.
- Decompose issues or objectives into units of work that can be assigned to other team members.
- Advocate and advance more efficient solution delivery practices.
- Evangelize great design, engineering, and organizational practices.
- Build observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Elastic.
- Build and support Kafka or related streaming platforms.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Strong Azure data service skills (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, SQL, ADLS, Kubernetes).
- Strong AWS data service skills (e.g., Glue, EMR, Redshift, S3, Lambda, KMS, IAM).
- Strong knowledge of Linux and SQL.
- Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash.
- Strong understanding of networking, authentication, and security controls.
- Experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes or ECS.
- Experience running high-scale or regulated data environments.
