The ideal candidate will bring a strong data analytics / data engineering background with experience designing and overseeing modern data pipelines, combined with exposure to fraud analytics or investigative environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior technical leader and client-facing representative, articulating solution approaches and leading technical discussions with stakeholders
  • Provide oversight and guidance on data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines, ensuring sound architecture and analytic integrity
  • Lead and contribute to fraud analytics, cybersecurity analytics, or advanced data analysis initiatives in complex, high-volume environments
  • Analyze complex datasets and situations, applying innovative problem-solving techniques to deliver actionable insights
  • Mentor and assess technical staff, ensuring rigor in analytics methodologies, investigative reasoning, and solution development
  • Support or lead incident analysis, forensic investigations, and response coordination efforts as needed
  • Identify opportunities to apply emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance mission outcomes
  • Develop and deliver clear, high-impact communications, including written reports, executive briefings, and support for audit or oversight activities
  • Anticipate evolving client needs and recommend enhancements to capabilities, tools, and team structure


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong background in data analytics, data engineering, or advanced data analysis (hands-on and/or oversight experience)
  • Experience working with data pipelines, ETL processes, and large-scale data environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in fraud analytics, financial crime analytics, or similar investigative data environments (preferred)
  • Ability to operate as a technical SME and advisor, bridging technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Proven experience mentoring teams and validating analytical approaches and outputs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly-particularly in client briefings and oral presentations
  • Experience in federal or public sector environments strongly preferred


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting IRS, Treasury, or other federal financial agencies
  • Exposure to cybersecurity analytics, forensic analysis, or investigative support environments
  • Familiarity with modern analytics ecosystems (e.g., cloud platforms, big data tools, AI/ML frameworks)
