The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is recruiting for a prominent global Tier 1 manufacturing organization to identify an accomplished quality professional for an impactful, plant-based role in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As an external recruiting partner, StaffRight Associates is managing the search for this high-growth position within a premier international enterprise that spans over 60 facilities and employs thousands of professionals worldwide.

In this role, you will champion the operational integrity and customer satisfaction metrics for advanced manufacturing lines, serving as the critical bridge between cross-functional production teams, material providers, and elite global automotive clients. This is an exceptional opportunity to drive continuous improvement frameworks and spearhead new program launches within a rapidly expanding production environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion initial quality strategic frameworks and comprehensive project tracking from development phases through production-ready sign-offs.

  • Lead cross-functional mitigation strategies to identify, minimize, and systematically eliminate component non-conformance.

  • Synchronize operational parameters across Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure absolute alignment with individual client standards.

  • Drive comprehensive Root Cause Analysis and technical troubleshooting initiatives to eliminate manufacturing variances.

  • Coordinate the manufacturing, validation, and delivery pipeline for prototype submissions and engineering design changes.

  • Architect and maintain the documentation, auditing, and implementation protocols for global tier-one compliance frameworks.

  • Synthesize operational performance metrics using Advanced Statistical Analysis and Statistical Process Control to fuel continuous improvement loops.

  • Execute formal component approval packages and client review submissions in strict accordance with industry timelines.

  • Direct all primary technical communication and quality consultations between raw material providers and final consumers.

  • Establish and monitor rigorous Gauge And Fixture Calibration Schedule protocols across the production floor.

  • Develop actionable, detailed shop-floor work instructions, standard operating procedures, and program review minutes.

What You Bring

  • Proven Experience: Extensive background operating as a quality professional within a dedicated Tier 1 Automotive Supplier or Tier 2 Automotive Supplier environment specializing in Formed Plastics Materials.

  • Methodologies & Frameworks: Deep technical mastery of Advanced Product Quality Planning, Failure Mode And Effects Analysis, Production Part Approval Process, and 8D Problem Solving.

  • Standards & Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of TS16949 System Requirements, VDA System Requirements, AIAG Best Methods, and geometric dimensioning tools (GD&T).

  • Client Competency: Direct experience managing specific quality compliance and auditing accounts for major manufacturers, including Ford, Toyota, and VW.

  • Technical Systems: High proficiency utilizing enterprise operational tools, including MPACT Software, automated tracking spreadsheets (Excel), and Gage R&R validation tools.

  • Auditing & Training: Background or formal certification in Lead Auditor Training is considered a strong asset.

  • Education & Credentials: A formal Degree or Diploma in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent extensive tier-one manufacturing experience combined with a Certified Quality Engineer designation.

  • Logistics: Full readiness to accommodate regional business travel as required to interface with client and vendor facilities.

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Annual Base Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 (Commensurate with experience)

  • Employment Status: Full Time / Direct Hire

  • Relocation Assistance: Negotiable allocation available for regional moves.
