Role Summary: We are seeking an accomplished BI Developer to lead the transformation of data from Snowflake and MS Fabric into actionable executive insights. The ideal candidate will oversee the full data delivery lifecycle, including requirements gathering with leadership, engineering sophisticated data models, and deploying impactful Power BI dashboards. This role demands advanced technical proficiency as well as excellent business acumen.
Required Technical Skills:
· Power BI: Demonstrated expert proficiency (DAX, Power Query, Service)
· Snowflake: Experience with SnowSQL, partitioning, and warehouse optimization
· MS Fabric: Familiarity with OneLake, Data Factory, and the MS Fabric environment
· SQL: Advanced skills in complex data transformation and validation
Required Soft Skills:
· Executive Presence: Comfortable presenting to and incorporating feedback from C-suite leaders
· Curiosity: Proactively seeks to understand business operations behind the data
· Clarity: Excels at explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience using Azure DevOps for project tracking
· Certification in PL-300 (Microsoft Data Analyst) or Snowflake Pro Core
· Previous experience in client-facing or leadership-facing internal consultancy roles
Key Responsibilities:
Data Engineering & Architecture—Fabric & Snowflake Ecosystem: Design and optimize end-to-end data pipelines with MS Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse) and Snowflake to support both real-time and batch reporting.
Advanced Modeling: Create and maintain robust Star Schema data models ensuring organizational data integrity and high performance.
Optimization: Conduct root-cause analysis on performance issues; enhance SQL queries in Snowflake and DAX expressions in Power BI to achieve responsive reporting.
Power BI Development—Visualization Excellence: Develop executive-level dashboards with a focus on user experience and visual clarity.
DAX & Power Query: Write advanced DAX measures and utilize Power Query for complex data transformations and business logic.
Security & Governance: Manage Power BI workspaces and implement Row-Level Security to ensure proper data access controls.
Leadership & Strategic Partnership:
· Lead sessions with senior leadership to define KPIs and translate business needs into technical solutions
· Present analytical findings and recommendations to executives, emphasizing actionable insights
· Collaborate using Azure DevOps to track progress, manage backlogs, and provide development transparency
