Senior Processing Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: Edenton, NC

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Senior Processing Technician to join our 2nd Shift production team in Edenton, NC. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this role provides hands-on leadership and technical support for roasting and processing operations. The Senior Processing Technician is responsible for coordinating production activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, ensuring product quality, and supporting team members to achieve production goals safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily processing and roasting line activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Assign employees to workstations based on production needs and operational priorities.
  • Monitor production performance and adjust staffing, material flow, and equipment operation as needed.
  • Review production and operating reports to identify and resolve manufacturing, maintenance, and operational issues.
  • Assist with production planning by establishing work priorities and sequencing activities.
  • Interpret process specifications and communicate requirements to team members.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and equipment utilization.
  • Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure safe operation and optimal performance.
  • Observe employees to ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and perform routine equipment repairs; coordinate with maintenance personnel for major repairs.
  • Conduct product testing and quality checks to verify compliance with customer specifications.
  • Perform routine equipment calibration and process verification activities.
  • Train and mentor employees on equipment operation, production procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to communicate production status and operational needs.
  • Ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer quality requirements.
  • Alert the Shift Supervisor to operational concerns that could impact safety, quality, productivity, or equipment performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of industrial, manufacturing, food processing, or production experience required.
  • Previous leadership, training, or lead technician experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement
