Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee all aspects of assigned IT projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all defined deliverables for multiple projects, including a Blackberry Workspaces replacement, an Oracle Mexico EBS upgrade, and enhancements to a Ceiling Knowledge Base (CKB), are completed on time and within budget. This role involves collaboration with business unit sponsors and various IT groups to ensure project success while adhering to established processes and project management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute project work plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including scope, budget, and resource allocation.
- Ensure projects meet all functional, technical, and quality specifications.
- Facilitate team and stakeholder meetings, providing clear and timely communication on project status.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Minimize exposure and risk on all assigned projects.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Direct and delegate tasks effectively, balancing resources with skills and priorities.
- Partner with third-party vendors and manage those relationships as needed.
- Mentor others and support the growth of project management skills throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 8 years of in-depth business experience, with the most recent 3 to 5 years in a project management capacity, preferably within an IT environment.
Certifications: PMP Certification is required.
Technical Skills:- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, including a combination of Agile and Waterfall.
- General knowledge of technology projects; specific Oracle implementation knowledge is not required.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vendor management.
- Experience with projects in the security space.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $70.00/hr - $80.00/hr. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's work experience, skills, and qualifications.
