DevOps Engineer Platform

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a DevOps Engineer - Platform & CI/CD.

Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on CI/CD, platform operations, and infrastructure automation. This role emphasizes operational excellence and platform reliability rather than deep software engineering or application development.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly in Linux environments, understands how systems behave in production, and has practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities:
* Build, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools
* Support and operate cloud infrastructure, primarily in AWS
* Define, manage, and maintain Infrastructure as Code, with a strong preference for Terraform
* Work directly in Linux environments to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve operational issues
* Support deployment workflows and platform reliability in production environments
* Partner with engineering, data, and platform teams to support delivery and operational needs
* Contribute to improvements in system stability, deployment reliability, and operational best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* Hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or Platform Engineer
* Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
* Candidates with Jenkins-only backgrounds are not a fit
* Experience managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
* Working knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS (experience with other providers acceptable)
* Comfort working in Linux environments, including shell scripting, terminal usage, and operational troubleshooting
* Experience supporting and maintaining production platforms and deployment workflows

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
* Basic experience with containerization, especially Docker
* Exposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration (not required)
* Experience supporting data, analytics, or internal platform teams
* Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools

What This Role Is Not:
* This is not a software engineering role
* Deep application development or advanced programming expertise is not required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
