Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Spring Boot microservices, front-end frameworks, and GenAI-assisted development, and a proven ability to deliver secure, scalable software across the full SDLC.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug applications for business units and support functions.
- Provide strategic technical direction and contribute to system architecture for individual initiatives.
- Partner with line of business and architects to implement protection and security solutions for banking applications.
- Create prototypes to validate designs and solution approaches.
- Prepare UML diagrams to document current and future state designs.
- Coordinate with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget.
- Provide feedback and technical guidance to project managers to achieve business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with GenAI development tools and workflows, with the capability to deliver approximately 50% of coding and documentation using GenAI tools.
- Hands-on experience developing microservices with Spring Boot and Java 21.
- Experience with container platforms such as OpenShift or similar tools.
- Front-end experience with at least one RIA framework: jQuery, Angular, or React.
- Experience with at least one ORM/persistence framework: iBatis/MyBatis, Hibernate, Kafka, or JPA.
- Source control proficiency with Bitbucket, GitHub, or similar tools.
- Maven, TDD, CI, JUnit, and Mockito experience.
- Experience using Eclipse, IntelliJ, or comparable IDEs.
- Proficiency with at least one RDBMS and SQL such as Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server.
- Agile or iterative development experience across the full SDLC.
- Front-end web development with JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Ajax, and SASS.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AngularJS for legacy support and modernization.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts and practical application in software delivery.
Work Arrangement & Logistics
- Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite each week, onsite day 1.
- Target start month: May.
- Glider ID verification required.
