Summary

DPP is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Solutions Architect for an opportunity in Cayce, SC.
 
Work location: Hybrid in Cayce, SC; 4 days/week onsite and 1 day/week remote. (Remote availability after the first month of employment.)
Duration: 12 months with possibility of extension
Term: W2 position
Candidate location: Must be a current SC, NC, or GA resident. Candidates must be willing to relocate to SC prior to their state date.
 
Position summary:
  • The Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Solutions Architect is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and long-term support of enterprise business solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, the Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 Government G5 environments.
  • This role serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert, providing architectural oversight, ensuring security and compliance, and delivering scalable, high‑availability solutions that support public health and other mission-critical business systems. 
Required qualifications: at least 5 years of experience with each:
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse)
  • Workflow design and automation
  • Microsoft SQL
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Active Directory / Azure Active Directory
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, and RSS
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-level system architectures 
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience building and deploying dynamic solution packages
  • Experience supporting Government Cloud (GCC / G5) environments
  • Experience working within regulated environments, including public health or government agencies
  • Familiarity with CDC, HIPAA, CJIS, FISMA, and NIST security frameworks 
Key areas of responsibility:
Solution Architecture & Design:
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure enterprise solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse), and Microsoft 365 GCC environments.
  • Architect end-to-end application solutions, including system integrations, automation, and data models aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Assist in defining and evolving enterprise system architectures in support of long-term business and technology strategies.
Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Development:
  • Build and maintain model-driven and canvas applications, including advanced configuration of forms, views, dashboards, and business process flows.
  • Customize and extend Dynamics 365 applications (Customer Service, Field Service, Finance & Operations) to support complex business requirements.
  • Develop and implement C# plugins, custom workflows, and JavaScript-based form scripting to enable advanced business logic.
  • Design and manage Dataverse data models, including entities, relationships, and data structures.
Automation, Integration & Data Management:
  • Design and implement Power Automate workflows, including approvals, integrations, and event-driven automation.
  • Integrate Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions with external systems, including Azure Functions, REST APIs, SharePoint, SQL databases, ERP/CRM platforms, and third-party services.
  • Lead and support data migrations, system integrations, and API development, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
Application Lifecycle Management (ALM):
  • Manage ALM processes, including solution architecture, version control, deployment, patching, and promotion across Development, Test, and Production environments.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain custom solution packages and environment configurations across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure ecosystems.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance to ensure availability, scalability, and reliability.
Security, Compliance & Governance:
  • Configure and enforce security models, including role-based access control, field-level security, and data governance.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, including HIPAA, CJIS, FISMA, and NIST 800‑53 requirements.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to information risk management, data classification, confidentiality, and protection.
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance, development standards, and security best practices (CIS, NIST, and organizational policies).
Analytics & Reporting:
  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support operational monitoring and executive decision-making.
  • Monitor system usage and performance metrics and recommend continuous improvements based on analytics and business needs.
Collaboration, Leadership & Support:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and align deliverables with strategic objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, functional consultants, and project teams.
  • Support production environments, including issue resolution, enhancements, and post‑go‑live optimization.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform technologies across the organization.
  • Plan, organize, and manage project milestones through successful completion.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, configurations, operational procedures, and support guides.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to design integrated solutions that span multiple systems and business processes.
