Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Automation Engineer with strong backend engineering skills to build intelligent automation solutions for complex enterprise applications. This role goes beyond traditional UI test automation—you will automate backend workflows, APIs, distributed systems, data pipelines, and business processes using modern scripting, AI/ML techniques, and automation frameworks.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, rapidly learning new technologies, and building scalable automation solutions that improve engineering productivity and product quality.

Key Responsibilities
•    Design and develop automation frameworks for complex backend systems and enterprise applications.
•    Automate REST and GraphQL APIs, microservices, databases, messaging platforms, and event-driven architectures.
•    Develop automation using Java, Python, Playwright, and modern scripting frameworks.
•    Build intelligent automation leveraging AI/ML, LLMs, and agentic AI to reduce manual effort and improve testing efficiency.
•    Automate validation of APIs, backend workflows, ETL/data pipelines, and distributed systems.
•    Create reusable libraries, utilities, and automation accelerators.
•    Develop automation for CI/CD pipelines and integrate with DevOps processes.
•    Analyze complex business workflows and identify automation opportunities.
•    Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, DevOps teams, product owners, and QA teams.
•    Debug production-like issues and automate regression, integration, and performance validation.
•    Continuously improve automation coverage, execution speed, reliability, and maintainability.
•    Stay current with emerging AI, automation, and cloud technologies.

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor''s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
•    6+ years of software engineering or automation experience.
•    Strong programming experience in Java and/or Python.
•    Experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworks.
•    Strong experience testing and automating REST APIs.
•    Experience working with backend services and microservice architectures.
•    knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
•    Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.)
•    Experience with AI-assisted automation or Agentic AI.
•    Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

•    Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
•    Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts for intelligent automation.
•    Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.).

•    Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
•    Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms.
