Position: MuleSoft Lead

Location: San Roman & Okland CA

Position Overview

We are seeking a MuleSoft Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of API-led integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can guide teams, ensure best practices, and align integration solutions with enterprise architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Runtime Manager, Design Center, Exchange, etc.).
Define and enforce integration architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable API and integration designs.
Manage and mentor a team of MuleSoft developers and integration engineers.
Design and implement API-led connectivity architecture — System, Process, and Experience APIs.
Oversee CI/CD pipeline setup for MuleSoft deployments and ensure adherence to DevOps practices.
Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of complex integration issues.
Integrate MuleSoft APIs with Salesforce, SAP, Workday, AWS/Azure services, and other enterprise systems.
Ensure security, governance, and scalability of all integration solutions.
Stay current with MuleSoft product releases, features, and integration best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
7+ years of IT experience, with at least 4+ years in MuleSoft integration development and design.
Strong hands-on experience with:

Mule 4 / Anypoint Studio
DataWeave transformations
RAML / OpenAPI design
Mule Runtime / CloudHub
Anypoint Platform administration

Proven experience leading integration projects and managing small to mid-sized teams.
Knowledge of API management, microservices architecture, and event-driven integrations.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

MuleSoft Certified Developer / Integration Architect / Platform Architect.
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, or GraphQL integrations.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
