Workday Integration Developer III

Position Overview:

The state of Wisconsin is seeking a Workday Integration Developer III to lead the design, development, and support of enterprise-level Workday integrations.

Work Location: 100% Remote

Key Responsibilities

Architect, design, and develop Workday integrations using:
- Workday Studio
- EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder)
- Core Connectors
- Cloud Connect & Orchestrate
Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, including:
- Data mapping and transformation logic
- Error handling frameworks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HCM, Finance, Research Administration)
Provide mentorship, code reviews, and technical leadership to junior staff
Manage full integration lifecycle:
- Requirements → Design → Development → Testing → Monitoring → Optimization
Develop custom solutions in Workday Studio using Java
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure SLA compliance
Ensure integrations meet security, audit, and data governance standards

Required Qualifications

15+ years of experience with large-scale ERP integrations
Expertise in:
- Web services, XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST
Strong Workday experience:
- Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Orchestrate
Proven ability to translate functional requirements into technical designs
Strong understanding of Workday:
- Security
- Reporting
Advanced Java development skills
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Experience integrating across HCM, Finance, and Research domains
Strong collaboration and leadership capabilities

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

Experience working in Agile environments
Familiarity with service management tools (e.g., JIRA)
Experience with Huron Research Suite integrations
