Pay Rate: $53 - $57

This Database Engineer 3 role focuses on designing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise database platforms-specifically MongoDB, EDB PostgreSQL, and YugabyteDB-as part of the organization's strategic Next Gen Datacenter expansion. The engineer will lead complex database design efforts, drive automation, develop high-availability solutions, and implement security controls while influencing the future direction of database technologies. The role requires deep operational knowledge, strong automation expertise, and the ability to operate in a hybrid environment with cross-functional collaboration.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and management of complex MongoDB, EDB PostgreSQL, and YugabyteDB databases
Drive data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts
Plan, research, implement, maintain, and optimize server-class database environments
Develop and implement database security controls, including CIS benchmarks and auditing
Certify and validate next-generation database technology adoption
Provide technical leadership and consult with management and clients on high-impact database issues
Develop database operations policies, procedures, standards, and best practices
Collaborate across engineering teams to resolve complex issues and achieve enterprise goals
Lead automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks, improve MTTR, and enforce SLAs
Build and enhance high-availability, replication, and failover solutions
Serve as SME on new features, tools, or emerging database technologies
Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical enterprise applications
Contribute to re-engineering initiatives to drive operational efficiencies
Take a lead role in broad-impact projects while maintaining a strong customer service focus
