Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Production Support Analyst for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role focuses on production support for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proactively monitoring application health, responding to and resolving production issues, and collaborating with Development, Infrastructure, and Platform teams to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities: - Proactively monitor and manage application health and performance
- Respond to and resolve production issues, including job failures, feed management, and monitoring, ensuring proper follow-up and root cause analysis
- Maintain and create support policies, procedures, and knowledge base for known issues and resolutions
- Develop a strong understanding of the business processes supported by the applications
- Assist with application releases, upgrades, implementations, and environment changes
- Ensure continuity and quality by owning issue resolution across platforms, escalating when necessary
- Participate in production support rotation and respond promptly to critical incidents
- Provide weekend or after-hours support for deployments, infrastructure changes, and disaster recovery tests
- Build strong partnerships with Development, Infrastructure, and Platform teams
Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in application development and/or production support
- 5+ years of hands-on experience across a combination of the following technologies: Oracle/SQL, Salesforce, Informatica, J2EE, UNIX, .NET, OpenShift
- 2+ years of experience with monitoring and support tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace and/or AppDynamics
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex issues
- Experience in production support for enterprise applications
- Familiarity with incident management and problem resolution processes
- Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
- Knowledge of ITSM tools such as Remedy
- Excellent communication skills with experience working with US based business partners
- Ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents effectively
Desired skills: - Knowledge of credit-related business processes is a plus
- Prior experience managing complex batch environments
- Exposure to incident trend analysis and problem management processes
- Ability to propose automation and process improvement opportunities
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
