Genesis10 is currently seeking a Feature Lead for a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is an 12+ month contract opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions for an ACH Payments Technology team. As a technical leader, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of a large-scale distributed payments application, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development and implementation of the large-scale distributed payments application, ensuring high performance, scalability and reliability along with code reviews on day-to-day basis
- Guide and Mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration and innovation
- Partner with dependent application teams to align strategic goals, influence technical solutions, and drive cross-functional initiatives
- Architect and implement high-quality, strategic software solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic business requirements and technical standards
- Challenge and refine technical processes to enhance code quality, development efficiency and system performance
- Drive best practices in coding, testing and deployment
Requirements: - 8+ years of software development experience with at least a year of experience in leading a team of engineers
- 8+ years of senior developer experience in designing and implementing complex systems with exposure to application architecture, security & system performance optimization
- Hands on experience with Core Java, Redis, relational and non-relational databases
- Strong expertise in Spring / Spring Boot, REST API development, and microservices
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server)
- Experience building highly available, distributed backend systems
Desired skills: - Payment domain knowledge (ACH, NACHA), payment file formats (PPD, CCD, CTX)
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment
- Background in financial services, banking, or regulatory environments
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
