About the Role
Our client, a global leader in the food production and agriculture industry, is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on, in-person technical support to employees. This role is based in a collaborative, walk-up support environment where you will assist users with everyday IT needs while delivering a positive and welcoming experience.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, troubleshooting technology issues, and working in a fast-paced, service-focused setting. You will play a key role in ensuring employees remain productive by resolving hardware, software, and access-related issues efficiently.

Job Description
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting end-user devices while delivering excellent customer service. This role supports desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless user experience.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide walk-up, in-person support for laptops and end-user devices running Windows 11
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
  • Assist with account access, password resets, and permissions management
  • Set up, configure, and distribute IT equipment including laptops, monitors, and accessories
  • Track and maintain inventory levels while organizing equipment stock
  • Partner with internal teams to deploy new devices, updates, and system enhancements
  • Assist with user education sessions and team-led demonstrations
  • Monitor and follow up on open incidents to ensure timely resolution
  • Apply moderately complex security measures to maintain compliance and protect devices
  • Deliver support with empathy, patience, and clear communication

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical support role
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 11 and troubleshooting laptop/desktop systems
  • Experience supporting hardware, software, and user access issues
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, approachable attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting enterprise environments or large organizations
  • Familiarity with device deployment and asset inventory management
  • Exposure to IT security best practices and endpoint protection
  • Experience assisting with user training or technical demonstrations
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications)
