JOB TITLE: Sr Project Manager

CAYUSE COMPANY: Cayuse Government Services

LOCATION: Sacramento, CA

SALARY: $60-$90 per hour

JOB TYPE: Independent Contract

Independent consulting in this role is separate from employment.

Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.

Consultant and Proposal Support (before the customer awards Cayuse the contract):

We are hiring a Senior Project Manager Consultant to support solutioning, workflow alignment, and go-live planning for the Project Approval Lifecyle (PAL) for an Information Technology (IT) Systems Modernization project. This short-term engagement will provide build and operational support during proposal and early implementation phases, with the plan to transition into a longer-term role as the project expands.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support proposal preparation
  • Participate in affiliate discovery sessions and translate needs into PAL and FITSM configurations
  • Assist in developing onboarding playbooks and go-live support plans
  • Provide operational input into project timelines, resource needs, and readiness planning
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with PAL best practices and host organization policies
  • Directing and managing IT Systems Modernization project


Qualifications

Preferred Experience:
  • Using PAL and project management best practices.
  • Prior consulting or contract experience with contractors.

Working Conditions:
  • Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.

Pay Range
