The Opportunity
StaffRight Associates is seeking a high-caliber Applications Engineer to serve as the pivotal technical link for advanced fuel delivery systems. In this critical role, you will drive the integrity and performance of injection products across their entire lifecycle, from development through long-term field application. You will act as a primary technical consultant, bridging the gap between design, manufacturing, and quality to ensure our client remains at the forefront of automotive excellence in the Greater Greenville area. (Relocation is Paid!)
What You’ll Do
Architect and optimize sophisticated remanufacturing protocols for both Common Rail and Hydraulically Actuated Unit Diesel injection systems.
Champion technical support initiatives for Port Fuel Injection (PFI) programs, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.
Investigate complex performance anomalies, utilizing deep-dive analytics to resolve flow audit discrepancies and field performance concerns.
Lead comprehensive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) workflows to eliminate engineering bottlenecks and enhance product robustness.
Synthesize intricate technical data into high-level documentation, including incident post-mortems and engineering status reports for executive stakeholders.
Drive cross-functional synergy by collaborating with internal laboratories, global suppliers, and production teams to maintain peak shipment readiness.
Facilitate continuous improvement strategies that harden product applications against failure and improve overall system reliability.
Engage in high-impact program reviews and Gemba walks to maintain transparent communication across the supply chain and engineering departments.
What You Bring
Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering (or a closely related technical discipline).
Industry Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of proven success in application, validation, or product support engineering within the automotive sector.
Technical Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience with Common Rail diesel systems, including the design of internal components using 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) and the application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Analytical Rigor: Advanced critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to diagnose and rectify fuel system failures through systematic analysis.
Communication Mastery: The ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear, professional documentation and actionable insights for non-technical partners.
Collaborative Mindset: A proactive "ownership" approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary production environment.
