This pivotal leadership role oversees the lifecycle of sophisticated rotating equipment maintenance, from initial diagnostics to final delivery. Operating within a highly profitable division of a multi-billion-dollar global manufacturing powerhouse, you will drive technical excellence and operational precision.

This is a high-visibility mandate where your expertise in mechanical systems will directly influence client satisfaction, regional performance, and the overarching technical standards of a global engineering network.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated regional engineering team, fostering a culture of technical rigor, professional growth, and high-performance execution.

  • Architect comprehensive inspection, maintenance, and overhaul strategies for intricate rotating machinery and power transmission systems.

  • Synthesize teardown data to diagnose critical failure modes and establish precise, cost-effective repair protocols for high-value client assets.

  • Validate that all engineering deliverables align with rigorous internal benchmarks, international AGMA standards, and specific client mandates.

  • Execute reverse engineering initiatives to facilitate complex component repairs and specialized manufacturing requirements.

  • Champion cross-functional synergy by serving as the primary technical consultant for sales, supply chain, and shop-floor operations.

  • Oversee the integrity of assembly, testing, and final quality assurance phases to ensure flawless on-time delivery.

  • Generate sophisticated technical dossiers and project documentation that meet stringent contractual and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive project management for urgent equipment breakdowns and technically dense, high-stakes orders.

  • Audit external vendor performance and subcontracted technical work to maintain uncompromising quality across the supply chain.

What You Bring

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred; degrees in Aerospace, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering will be considered.

  • Domain Expertise: 12 to 15+ years of intensive experience focused on the design, engineering, or restoration of gearboxes, power transmission systems, or related rotating equipment.

  • Leadership Provenance: A demonstrated track record of managing engineering professionals within a fast-paced service, MRO, or manufacturing ecosystem.

  • Technical Toolset: Advanced proficiency in CAD platforms, with a strong preference for SolidWorks and modern digital engineering suites.

  • Process Mastery: Deep functional knowledge of teardown, inspection, and overhaul workflows for industrial-scale machinery.

  • Strategic Communication: The ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear presentations for executive leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Operational Agility: A self-starting mindset capable of balancing multiple mission-critical priorities while maintaining a relentless focus on results.
