Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team and support mission-critical Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and overall health of Oracle databases across development, testing, and production environments.

The successful candidate should possess strong expertise in Oracle database technologies, high-availability solutions, disaster recovery planning, and database performance optimization while ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Database environments.

• Administer Oracle databases in development, QA, UAT, and production environments.

• Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.

• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.

• Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and other Oracle tools.

• Configure and support Oracle Data Guard environments for disaster recovery.

• Administer Oracle RAC environments to ensure high availability and scalability.

• Implement database security best practices, including user access management and auditing.

• Troubleshoot database incidents and provide root cause analysis for critical issues.

• Support database migration, refresh, cloning, and upgrade activities.

• Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and support teams.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and recovery plans.

• Participate in production support and on-call rotations as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 15+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.

• Strong experience with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, or later versions.

• Expertise in Oracle RAC administration and support.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard configuration and management.

• Strong knowledge of RMAN backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.

• Experience with database performance tuning and SQL optimization.

• Strong understanding of Oracle architecture and database internals.

• Experience with database patching, upgrades, and migrations.

• Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.

• Experience with GoldenGate replication.

• Knowledge of Shell Scripting, Python, or automation tools.

• Experience supporting large-scale, high-volume production environments.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management procedures.
