We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Workday HCM Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will act as a Solution Architect and Workday HCM Lead. This role requires a strong techno-functional leader who can drive Workday HCM solutions, lead teams, and serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, capable of resolving complex issues independently, and guiding end-to-end Workday HCM implementations and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Workday HCM SME and Solution Architect for enterprise-level implementations and support
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including functional and technical consultants
- Design and deliver end-to-end Workday HCM solutions aligned with business requirements
- Serve as the primary liaison between client stakeholders and vendors, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution
- Analyze business processes and recommend best-fit Workday HCM configurations and optimizations
- Provide hands-on support in troubleshooting, resolving issues, and optimizing system performance (avoid unnecessary escalations)
- Oversee system integrations, data flows, and reporting within Workday
- Ensure adherence to best practices, governance standards, and security protocols
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements
- Support testing, deployment, and post-production support activities
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, etc.)
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect / Lead Consultant in Workday implementations
- Hands-on experience with Workday configurations, business process frameworks, and security
- Experience in Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio is a plus)
- Strong understanding of HR business processes and workflows
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently and provide solutions
- Experience working in client-facing roles and managing vendor relationships
- Strong leadership and team management skills
Nice to Have
- Workday certifications (HCM, Integration, or relevant modules)
- Experience with large-scale enterprise implementations
- Knowledge of reporting tools (Workday Reports, Prism Analytics)
- Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery models
