Job Description:
PACS Field Technician

Location: Boston, Massachusetts (Onsite)

Employment Type: Long term Contract

We're looking for someone to provide onsite, hands-on support for PACS and related radiology technologies across clinical environments. This role will focus on maintaining system performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting radiology staff with day-to-day workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite support for PACS, radiology workstations, and imaging peripherals
  • Troubleshoot issues related to PACS access, image routing, modality connectivity, and user workflows
  • Support deployment, setup, and maintenance of imaging devices (CT, MRI, X-ray, etc.)
  • Partner with radiology staff and escalate issues to Imaging Informatics/IT teams as needed
  • Assist with PACS upgrades, patches, and testing efforts
  • Support basic RIS workflow issues and ticket resolution
  • Document and track incidents in the ticketing system, ensuring timely follow-up
  • Deliver strong, in-person customer support in a clinical environment
  • Provide basic guidance/training to end users on PACS workflows


Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of field/desktop support experience (healthcare environment preferred)
  • Exposure to PACS, RIS, or imaging workflows
  • Strong troubleshooting across Windows environments, hardware, and applications
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS)
  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills


Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Epic Radiant or other radiology applications
  • Exposure to dictation/voice recognition tools


Required Qualifications

Education: A High School diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Moderate knowledge of Dell, Apple, HP, and Ricoh hardware is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft and Workday applications is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Epic application is desirable.
Work Environment

The role requires on-call availability after business hours on a rotational basis. The work is varied, requiring adaptability and independent judgment to manage priorities. This position involves frequent walking, standing, and physical tasks such as lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Compensation & Benefits
