Summary

Job Title: Application Production Support
Location: Plano, Texas (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Month Contract
Rate: $60/hour on W2

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Application Production Support Specialist to manage and support mission-critical Compliance applications focused on Sanctions and AML. This role requires a dependable production support professional who can operate in high-pressure environments, ensure application stability, and lead incident response with clear stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and support production applications and daily batch processing
Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, job failures, and production defects
Lead incident triage, provide timely updates, and manage escalations
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
Maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and technical documentation
Coordinate and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) testing
Track system performance, capacity, and operational metrics
Collaborate with Business, Development, and Infrastructure teams
Mentor junior team members and support team deliverables

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments
Advanced SQL skills with Oracle and/or Teradata databases
Experience working with Hadoop ecosystems
Proficiency in Autosys job scheduling
Scripting knowledge: Shell, Python, or similar

Monitoring & Observability

Experience with tools like ITRS Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics

Data & Integration

Experience with Informatica or other ETL tools

Process & Domain

Strong understanding of ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
Experience in Banking / Financial Services environments
Exposure to Compliance systems (AML / Sanctions) preferred

Soft Skills

Strong written and verbal communication
Calm and effective during production incidents
Ownership mindset and accountability
Ability to work in rotational on-call schedules
