Project Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a Project Specialist to provide cross-functional support for a senior leadership organization focused on strategy, planning, and operational initiatives. This role partners closely with leadership to support coordination, reporting, communication, and day-to-day execution across multiple workstreams. This position is not tied to a single project. Instead, it supports ongoing initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities shift frequently.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support strategy, planning, and cross-functional initiatives
* Assist with project coordination, tracking, and follow-ups
* Create and maintain PowerPoint decks, summaries, and executive-ready communications
* Pull and compile data for reporting and portfolio-level visibility
* Support portfolio submissions and operational reviews
* Coordinate across stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution
* Assist with basic financial and operational tracking as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
* 2-4 years of experience in project coordination, junior business analysis, PMO support, or similar roles
* Experience working in or alongside technology teams (no heavy coding required)
* Strong organization, communication, and prioritization skills
* Experience creating presentations and written updates for leadership
* Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with multiple stakeholders
* Experience preparing PowerPoint decks, written summaries, and status communications
* Comfortable pulling data, running reports, and supporting tracking or portfolio activities
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to learn new tools and processes quickly
* High level of aptitude, coachability, and eagerness to grow
* Comfortable pulling data and supporting reporting activities

Preferred Skills:
* Experience with Smartsheet or similar tools
* Familiarity with collaboration or project tools (e.g., SharePoint, MS Project, JIRA)
* Basic understanding of CapEx/OpEx concepts (can be taught)

Work Environment:
* Hybrid role with onsite expectation three days per week (Mon-Wed)
* High-visibility role supporting senior leadership

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
